Experience:
-
Mr.
Brown has the personal experience of attending
On-Scene in excess of 3,000 motor vehicle
collision scenes. In the past seventeen years
he has personally reconstructed and assisted
in the reconstruction of approximately 700
collisions.
-
He
has lectured across Canada and continues to
take relevant courses and seminars involving
collision reconstruction in Canada and the
United States. To date he has attained in
excess of 2,600 hours of collision specific
training.
-
He
has conducted research in various collision
specific areas such as staged collisions,
speed analysis, evidence identification and
interpretation, visibility, perception and
reaction.
-
He
has also authored 14 publications in the collision
reconstruction field.
-
He
has been recognized and qualified as an expert
in the field of Accident Reconstruction, Human
Factors, Collision Analysis and Interpretation
and has been allowed to give opinion evidence
on 35 separate occasions.
-
As
a member of the Ontario Provincial Police
he was designated and held the position as
the Lead Collision Reconstructionist for Eastern
Ontario for three years and for North Eastern
Ontario for seven years as well as being the
Unit Commander for the North East Region Commercial
Vehicle Enforcement Unit.
